Designing a food experience to explore and archive a speculative vocabulary of taste.
Idea Where does taste start? Taste starts long before we grab the spoon, put it to our mouth and let the food pass our lips and touch our tongue. Almost all of our senses are involved in the process of how we taste and help to determine which foods we like or dislike. We think we know how something tastes due to lifelong learned facts and patterns. Even though all humans have a big connection to taste on a daily basis, describing taste sensations and flavors in a clear and concise manner is a common challenge for many people.
Output The Restaurant of Taste Traffic is a sensory and perception experiment. It is a concept that fully focuses on the mechanical process of eating as well as the emotions, flavors, and sensations that arise during the act of consuming food. Creation of a situation where people are taking time to find words, associations and stories around the food they eat.
