Finding a contrast to the abundance of exellency of Art Basel: Building a low tech food installation with found objects only.
Output Creation of this outdoor installation for the Summer Festival at the Campus of the Arts, in Basel, Switzerland. As an interdisciplinary team of four, we explored design methods for a low-tech food installation using exclusively recycled materials and objects found on the campus. Visitors can spin a bicycle wheel to choose their drink/sorbet combination. The lifeguard on the high chair places the selected sorbet ball into the mechanism. Then all that is left to do is catching the ball with the mouth and enjoy the accompanying drink. It represents an understanding of food culture from a playful perspective.
Sorbet and drink combinations: Fennel, Rosemary, Elderflower | Gin, Tonic, Pastis Beetroot, Peach, Mint | Vodka, Apple Juice, Elderflower Pineapple, Pepper | Green tea, Basil, Lime
