BONJOUR BABY
#curating_space
Role
Co-Founder
Goal
Creating a design space for enabling dialogic, intercultural and interdisciplinary
networks, to naturally generate new ideas und knowledge transfer.
Process
The centerpiece of Bonjour Baby is an Atelier Program, where designers from various
disciplines come together. Works are created around the themes of Cover,
Codex or Camouflage. At the end of each thematic block, these works are exhibited.
Many concepts are also submitted outside of the Atelier Program and are
developed in dialogue with us as curatorial directors. Local artists, designers,
and numerous students from the HGK (Academy of Art and Design) use
the space as a stage for their works and workshops.
Output
Bonjour Baby was founded as a participatory platform for designers in Basel. The
project space serves as an interdisciplinary workspace and meeting point. It provides
a platform for presenting and testing projects that trigger knowledge transfer
and encourage innovative thinking. The project phase of the space consisted of
three thematic blocks: Cover, Codex and Camouflage, which raised contemporary
questions about the concept of design.
